24 day Trip Recap

Since we started on July 27, 2019, I checked our stats to see how we are doing.  These stats will be very different when we get into the river systems and have to travel at no wake speeds.  We were fortunate to find most days on the great lakes to be very favorable and we traveled on plane at 27-31 MPH most of the time.  We did have to slow down a couple times in high sees and travel between 10 and 22 MPH.  Our averages include idling time in and out of ports and down 12-15 miles in rivers.

  • 24 Days
  • 14 different Ports
  • 762 Miles
  • 746 Gallons of Diesel
  • 40 hours on engines
  • Avg. Speed 19.01 MPH
  • Top speed traveled of 31.5 MPH at 3130 rpm, (max speed of boat is 40 MPH at 3,600 rpm)
  • Favorite speed is 29.5 MPH at 3050 rpm
  • Idle speed of 5 MPH at 600 rpm
  • 1.021 MPG
  • 18.65 GPH
  • Avg. Price per Gallon $2.99
  • 30,550 pounds – Dry weight 24,500 pounds plus 5,00 pounds for 300 gallons fuel, 100 gallons water, gear and provisions and 1050 pounds for dinghy, davit and all chain anchor rode.
